Agricultural Bank of China New York Branch Successfully Issues US$600 Million Floating-Rate Notes

  New York, January 6, 2026 – Agricultural Bank of China Limited New York Branch has successfully priced US$600 million of 5-year senior unsecured floating-rate notes, issued under its Medium-Term Note Program. The notes were priced at SOFR + 45bps, marking the tightest re-offer spread for Chinese USD bonds of the same tenor to date. At the start of the new year, the New York Branch capitalized on a favorable market window to issue the first US dollar bond from a Chinese bank in the new year. This transaction sets a new pricing benchmark for offshore bond issuances by Chinese financial institutions. 

  The offering received robust demand from investors, with the peak order book exceeding US$2.6 billion – an oversubscription of 4.3 times. Supported by strong investor interest, the final pricing tightened by 60 bps from the initial guidance of SOFR + 105bps. At the final pricing, the order book stood at US$2.1 billion, representing 3.5 times oversubscription. The transaction attracted high-quality international investors, including global banks, securities firms, asset managers, and funds from Asia and EMEA, underscoring continued confidence in ABC’s credit strength. Moody’s assigned an A1 rating to the notes.
