Agricultural Bank of China New York Branch successfully held the "International RMB Promotion and FI Marketing" Cocktail Reception
On March 31st, Agricultural Bank of China New York Branch (“ABC NY”) successfully held the first “International RMB Promotion and FI Marketing” cocktail reception. Over 60 representatives from more than 30 US local and international financial institutions attended the event. Notable guests included senior representatives from Wells Fargo, Citigroup, Standard Chartered Bank, BNY Mellon and other distinguished local financial institutions as well as strategic business partners.
This event was organized and undertaken by ABC NY in accordance with ABC Head Office's deployment. The International Finance Department of ABC Head Office was primarily in charge of the International RMB Promotion. The event consisted of two sessions, including a PPT presentation on “RMB Internationalization and cross-border RMB business” and a FI “face-to-face” business communication session. The main context of the presentation included 1) an introduction to the international development of RMB, 2) benefits of using RMB for international business, 3) features of RMB-denominated Financial Products and 4) Cooperation with ABC on RMB business. The business communication session effectively facilitated the discussion about the future cooperation on RMB and other potential businesses between ABC NY and the attended institutions. This reception event not only offered an effective promotion for cross-border RMB business but also allowed ABC NY to strengthen cooperation with local mainstream FIs, laying a solid foundation for future business development.
