ABC NY Elected Executive Director Member of CGCC

On January 19th, China General Chamber of Commerce – U.S.A. (hereinafter referred to as “CGCC”) held its 1st Board of Directors Meeting of 2014 in Washington, D.C. Agricultural Bank of China New York Branch was elected an Executive Director Member during the meeting. Since CGCC was founded in September 2005, the Representative Office has been a member; in August 2012, the Branch was elected Director Member after the grand opening. Except for re-election, Board of Directors also discuss and adopt CGCC Statutes, Amendments and work plan, for 2014. 

Ambassador Cui Tiankai met the board members of CGCC at the Embassy of China in Washington, D.C. Also, Mr. Thummalapally, Executive Director of SelectUSA of U.S. Department of Commerce, delivered a speech with regards to the U.S. investment environment and the latest relevant policies. The 3 main functions of his office are: providing data and statistics for foreign investors in U.S., helping investors communicate with local governments and authorities and assist in addressing issues and difficulties for foreign investors. 

Founded on September 14, 2005,CGCC is a federation of chambers of commerce, industry associations and friendship societies that represents Chinese companies throughout the United States. CGCC’s membership is comprised of more than 1,800 companies, with 99 Director Members and 50 Executive Director Members.
